East Hartford, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A 16-year old male drowned in a public pool early this morning, East Hartford Police said.
Police said the incident occurred just after midnight inside the fenced area at the Terry Pool on High Street.
Police responded to the scene, jumped the fence and found juveniles trying to pull an unresponsive male from the pool. Officers performed life-saving measures, including CPR.
East Hartford Fire and paramedics assumed the medical treatment.
16-year old Tresor Boroze was taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
East Hartford Police said they are treating the case as a tragic accident.
