SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Southington Police are investigating the theft of ten handguns during a burglary at Lock N' Load Firearms.
Police responded during early morning hours Sunday to the store on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike where an alarm had been activated.
The breaking of the business' front window activated the alarm, while a group of suspects went inside the store to steal a total of 10 handguns.
A responding officer saw the suspect vehicle fleeing at a high speed. The vehicle was later found abandoned on Route 10, near I-691 in Cheshire.
The suspects couldn't be found despite police efforts to locate them.
