It's not that Tesla doesn't want to sell in your town. It can't. Because Connecticut does not allow car makers to sell directly to the public, which is the only way Tesla sells.
Instead, carmakers have to go through dealers, like BMW and Chevy and the others.
To get around the rule, Tesla now plans to open its first Connecticut showroom in the shops at Mohegan Sun.
They're offering test drives on the resort property, and -- if you make that purchase -- that new electric ride will come your way on the resort with valet delivery.
