New Haven, Conn.(WTIC Radio)-The city of New Haven is warning residents that if they display symptoms of Monkeypox, to seek care and get tested.
City officials said the city has recorded two cases, two males in their 20's and 30's. Connecticut has 13 cases.
New Haven Public Health Director Maritza Bond said most of the cases involve men having sex with other men. But she and other health officials stress anyone can get the disease.
Symptoms include fatigue, blisters and legions, especially in the genital areas.
Yale New Haven Health Medical Director Dr. Richard Martinello said a Call Center has been established to answer Monkeypox question and other health concerns. The number is 877-ASKYNHH.
