NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - New London Police arrested three juveniles involved in weapons at the Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School in New London on Monday.
Police say the school went into lockdown around 1:14 p.m. Monday over word a student had a firearm inside the school.
A student was found in possession of a BB gun and a knife. It was reported, during the investigation, that the BB gun was discharged inside the school.
No one was injured.
The three students arrested in the incident face a mix of charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds and reckless endangerment.
The school's lockdown was lifted within about 50 minutes.
