(Somers, Conn. WTIC)-An EF-O tornado sailed through the town of Somers, ripping up and leveling trees, crushing a couple of cars and tearing the roof off an old colonial on Main Street.
First Selectman Budd Knorr said fortunately, nobody was injured.
The tornado passed through the town just after six last night and lasted about ten minutes. Some roads were closed and customers experienced a brief power outage.
Knorr said he didn't see a funnel but he said others apparently recorded one.
Cleanup is underway. The town will collaborate efforts to determine whether the town is available for financial reimbursement, Knorr said.
