Bloomfield Police say a tow truck driver working on the side of a road last night was struck and killed.
Crews responded to the report of a crash in the 300 block of Tunxis Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The tow truck driver, whose name hasn't been released, was found on the side of the road near a tow truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
His name hasn't been released.
The vehicle that struck him overturned and was found nearby.
The driver remained at the scene and went to a local hospital for an evaluation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
