Hamden, Conn./WTIC Radio - A tow truck driver escaped with only minor injuries on Friday night after taking a fall from a highway overpass in Hamden.
The incident occurred on the northbound side of the Wilbur Cross Parkway near exit 60.
State police say around 7:45 p.m., the driver of a Jeep Cherokee veered right to avoid a stopped vehicle.
That's when troopers say the Jeep hit a Nissan Altima that was parked behind the tow truck.
The Altima was pushed on to the flatbed of the truck.
Investigators say Robert Douglas, 23, fell from the overpass on to a grassy area about 25 feet below on Circular Drive.
The two other drivers were treated for minor injuries as well.
The driver of the Jeep was ticketed for failing to stay in the proper lane.
