Travelers Championship fans face travel delays

A serious car crash resulted in traffic delays for golf fans driving to the third round of the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut.
The crash resulted in the closure Saturday morning of the southbound side of Route 9.
One person was reported to be seriously injured in the crash, and was transported to a hospital.
As play was resuming at the Travelers, drivers were advised to find alternate routes and to expect additional delays.
