(WTIC Radio) - Guilford Police say a tree fell on one of their department's police cruisers during the wind and rain storm early Monday morning.
The cruiser was driving in the 1100 block of Little Meadow Road around 4:51 a.m.
The officer was not injured, as the bulk of the tree fell on the engine and front of the cruiser.
However, the vehicle did sustain substantial damage and will be taken out of service.
