Stamford, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police are releasing additional details about a fatal pedestrian collision on Interstate 95 in Stamford on Wednesday.
Investigators say just before 6:30 a.m., the pedestrian was in the right lane of I-95 northbound near exit 6.
The victim was hit and thrown to the left part of the highway by an evading vehicle.
Troopers say two other vehicles struck the victim and took off as well.
A fourth vehicle also struck the pedestrian and became disabled.
The driver of that vehicle stayed at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Police say no other information on the three evading vehicles has been obtained thus far.
Anyone with any information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact state police at the Troop G barracks.
