Suspects arrested in Southington after officers say they rammed police vehicles

Southington, Conn./WTIC Radio - Two suspects are under arrest after Southington police say the driver in a stolen vehicle rammed a police vehicle as officers tried to apprehend the pair.

It started just after 7:30 Thursday night when police say they were alerted by way of a license plate reader that the stolen vehicle had entered town and was found parked on Meriden Waterbury Road.

Police say the driver identified as Damon Davis, 28, attempted to flee by ramming a police vehicle that had boxed in the suspect vehicle.

Officers say Davis also hit a civilian vehicle before he got out of the car and fled.

He was later captured only to have Tiomonte Morgan, 27, jump into the suspect vehicle.

It was then that police say Morgan hit a building, an unoccupied vehicle and then multiple police vehicles before his car became disabled.

Morgan was pulled of the the vehicle throuugha window, say police.

Both suspects are facing reckless endangerment, weapons, drug and other offenses.

According to detectives, Davis had a handgun with an oblierated serial numer, 70 bags of fentanyl and $2,000 in cash.

Morgan, they say, was armed with a loaded Glock and also had fentanyl, crack and drug paraphernalia on him.

Both suspects are being held on $1 million bonds.
