Middletown Police arrest two for May shooting

(MIDDLETOWN, CONN. WTIC)-Middletown Police have arrested two suspects in a shooting that occurred in May during a memorial for a Middletown man murdered the week before. Police say four arrests have been made in the homicide of Tylon Hardy
A fight began during the memorial, with three individuals firing guns and rounds at each other and into the crowd. One individual had to undergo life-saving emergency at Hartford Hospital.
Middletown Police say after a lengthy investigation, they have arrested two of the shooters, 28-year old Denzel Teart of Middletown and 23-year old Messiah Stewart of New Haven. Teart, a convicted felon, faces first degree assault, weapons and reckless endangerment charges. He was taken into custody September 10th. Bond is $500,000.

Stewart also faces assault, weapon and reckless endangerment charges. He turned himself in. His bond is $150,000.
Both and have been arraigned. Middletown police say despite the arrests and bonds, a judge released both men on a promise to appear.
