WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The start of classes at Swift Middle School in Watertown was delayed by two hours Thursday morning, after an uncorroborated comment about a possible act of violence was overheard Wednesday, said police.
The delay was ordered out or an abundance of caution, and to give authorities additional time to investigate, said police.
A search of the school turned up nothing unusual, said police.
Security will be added at the school. Police stress they have no information to believe there's any credibility to the comment.
