NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Two people found aboard a boat that crashed in New Haven Harbor have been found dead.
The U.S. Coast Guard said first reported the 27-foot Sea Hunt as overdue since Wednesday night, when it was last seen in West Haven.
It turned up during a search around 5:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Environmental Conservation Police says the two people aboard, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither were wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
Their names aren't being released at this time.
The circumstances that led up to the crash are being investigated.
