Waterbury Police arrest two suspects in a shots fired incident that happened Thursday night.
Police say they went to a motel on West Main Street around 11:30 p.m. last night on the report of shots fired.
Police ordered suspect Angel Nadal, 38, to drop the gun he was hold behind the building once he racked the slide of the pistol, which police later learned had been modified. Nadal followed commands, dropped the weapon, and went into custody.
Another suspect, identified as Robert Melendez, 29, was taken into custody nearby.
Both Nadal and Melendez are from Waterbury.
Nadal hasn't been booked yet but remains under police custody at a local hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries.
Melendez is charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful discharge of a firearm, possession of a high-capacity magazine, use of a machine gun in a violent crime.
No one was injured in the shooting.
