Carlo Corsini Doyle was delivered on the side of Route 2 in East Hartford on Friday morning.
The boy's father, Archie, delivered him before medics and police could arrive at 9:57 a.m.
Carlo weighs in at 10 pounds and one ounce.
Hartford Hospital says both the mother and baby are healthy.
