MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Middletown Police say U.S. Marshals arrested a fugitive wanted in a homicide from earlier this year.
U.S. Marshals arrested Matthew O'Banner, 20, of Middletown, at a residence in New Jersey on Thursday.
O'Banner was wanted in the murder of Tylon Hardy in the area of Highlands Crescent and Stirling Court on May 16, 2021.
The Middletown Detective Division had attained a fully extraditable arrest warrant for O’Banner that charges him with Murder, Assault in the First Degree, Carrying a Pistol or Revolver without a Permit, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, Reckless Endangerment, and Commission of an A, B, or C Felony with a Firearm.
O’Banner was held as a Fugitive from Justice on a 2-million-dollar bond awaiting extradition.
Middletown Police say, on Thursday night, the investigation is still active.
