HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - An underground fire believed to be connected to an underground electrical vault may be responsible for several thousand power outages in Hartford on Wednesday morning.
The underground fire was reported in the area of Elm Street.
Elm Street and surrounding locations suffered the blackouts, affecting both residents and businesses.
There's no word on what caused the fire.
