Vernon Police arrest a man from town who allegedly carried out domestic violence incident at the Springville Mills.
Police responded after 7 p.m. Saturday night on the report of a domestic disturbance involving two women, one of whom intervened in the incident, and a two-year-old child.
Police say the suspect, Jerry Jolifils, 38, of Vernon, fled the scene toward the Hockanum River and initially ignored officers' commands before he was taken into custody following a brief pursuit.
Jolifils is charged with three counts of risk of injury to a minor, three counts of first degree unlawful restraint, second degree strangulation, attempted strangulation, first degree reckless endangerment, four counts of second degree reckless endangerment, three counts of third degree assault, two counts of second degree threatening, second degree breach of peace, disorderly conduct, and interfering with an officer.
Bond is $1,000,000.
