The Mayor's Office in Waterbury says water pressure is returning to nearly 15,000 customers who live near the area where a double water main break happened this week.
The situation worsened when repairs to the first main break on Tompkins Street led to a second break early Friday morning.
Crews were able to make swift repairs within a day.
Now, the city says a gradual restoration of water pressure should allow customers to return to normal use.
But, it's important to note that water may be discolored for a time and the precautionary boil water advisory remains in effect.
