Willimantic, Conn./WTIC Radio - A Willimantic man is facing murder and other charges in the death of an infant last December.
Dean Peruta, 40, is charged with murder, murder of a victim under 16 years old, and risk of injury.
The case dates back to December 21, 2025.
Police were called to a home on a report the child had fallen.
The child was pronounced dead a week later at Connecticut Children's in Hartford.
Peruta appeared Tuesday in Danielson Superior Court to faces the charges.
He was ordered held on $2 million bond.
