SOUTHINGTON, CONN.(WTIC Radio)-A Waterbury man faces DUI and other charges after police found him inside his vehicle in the driver's seat with a handgun in his lap.
The incident happened December 23rd in the area of West Main Street in the Plantsville section. Police couldn't determine the suspect's condition because the vehicle had tinted windows.
They responded after calls reported he had passed out. The SWAT team cleared the immediate area for safety purposes. They were finally able to make contact with the driver, Ricot Cassamajor, 35. Police also secured two handguns he had in his vehicle.
Cassamajor faces reckless endangerment, breach of peace and oher charges. He's scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court January sixth.
