
Waterbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is under arrest in Waterbury, charged in a crash that left a bicyclist dead last week.
It was Thursday around 10:00 p.m. that officers located 59-year-old Daryl Hammond lying in the road on East Main Street. His bike was located nearby.
Hammond was rushed to St. Mary's Hospital but died two days later.
Investigators later determined 22-year-old J Quan ballard of Waterbury was behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck Hammond.
Ballard is facing charges of evading responsibility.
The investigation is ongoing.
