Waterbury police make second homicide arrest

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A second arrest has been made in the July 17 homicide of Trevor Figueroa, 27, according to Waterbury Police. A third arrest in pending.

Friday, the US Marshal's Service and Waterbury Police arrested Jose Soto, 24, charging him with murder and weapons violations. Soto's bond is $2,000,000.

The shooting occurred at the intersection of East Main Street and Wall Street.

In August, Waterbury Police arrested Carlos Leon, 31, in connection with Figueroa's homicide.

Waterbury Police have an additional arrest warrant for Michael Laboy, 19. They say Laboy is in custody in Massachusetts on separate charges. He's awaiting extradition to Waterbury.
