WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - West Haven Police arrest two 14-year-olds in connection with two armed carjackings Friday.

At 4:23 p.m. Friday, a woman was pumping gas into her Hyundai when a male Juvenile entered her car and began to drive away.

The female victim suffered minor injuries when attempting to stop the theft from occurring.

A few minutes later a black Cadillac was stolen from Noble Gas Station on the Boston Post Road. Again, the victim was pumping gas.

The Cadillac drove to Saw Mill Road where the operator struck a vehicle at the Great Way located at 502 Saw Mill Road. All occupants fled on foot.

At this time every available unit was sent to the area, according to police.

The initial Audi from Woodbridge was observed on Saw Mill Road picking up individuals from the evading and a Patrol Sergeant attempted to stop it.

The Audi continued onto I-95 and was operating with no regard for public safety, so the Sergeant terminated his attempt out of safety concerns for the public.

Police later tracked the Audi to the I-95 Southbound rest area in Milford.

Multiple departments, including State Police, converged on the Audi.

The operator attempted to flee yet again but was stopped by “stop sticks” which were deployed by our Officers, deflating all four tires.

The occupants fled and were later caught.

The two 14-year-old suspects were taken into custody. One was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.

Both were charged accordingly but police haven't specified the charges.
