WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Willimantic Police are investigating the circumstances that led up to an injured baby over the weekend.
Police say they began investigating the incident on Sunday, after it was learned the baby was taken to Windham Hospital after what was reported as a fall the prior evening.
After an evaluation at Windham Hospital, the infant was taken to Connecticut Children's Hospital for additional medical care and is currently listed in critical condition.
Police are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
In a statement, police say this remains an active and ongoing investigation, and no additional information is being released at this time.
