WINCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Wincehster Police arrest a Winsted woman in an animal cruelty case.
Police arrested Sarah Smolak, 28, of Windsted, in connection with an ongoing animal cruelty investigation.
Twenty-four dogs were seized as part of the on-going investigation and are being examined, housed, and cared for locally.
Winchester Police are cooperating with the Town of Harwinton Regional Animal Control Department and the Animal Control Officials with the State of Connecticut Department of Agriculture.
