
NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a deadly crash on the southbound side of Route 8 in Naugatuck.
Investigators say a vehicle lost control and hit two people who were standing outside of a car that had been invovled in a previous collision around 2 p.m., near the off-ramp for Exit 26.
Troopers say one of those pedestrians, Jimmy Bedard, 45, of Wolcott, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Other reported injuries were minor. There's no word what caused the vehicle to lose control.
