WOLCOTT, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Wolcott police are investigating, after a man was found fatally shot in a vehicle early Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the area of 816 Wolcott Road around 4:45 a.m. on a report of a vehicle off the road, to find the vehicle riddled with bullet holes and a man inside, said police.
The 41 year old had at least one gunshot wound, said police. He was pronounced dead at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. The victim's name was not immediately available.
While police say they haven't ruled anything in or out at this point, they do say the shooting does not appear to be a random act. State police have been called in to assist in the investigation.
