Ledyard, Conn./WTIC Radio - A woman is charged with assaulting her mother in Ledyard.
Police say they responded to the incident Monday morning just after 10:00.
They were called to a Church Hill Road residence for a well-being check.
An investigation found Nicole Anderson, 28, was not a threat to herself or others.
But when her mother arrived to keep her company, police say she and Anderson got into a verbal dispute that became physical.
The mother sustained minor injuries.
Anderson is now facing assault charges.
She's due in court Tuesday.
