Woman charged with causing wrong way crash

Shelton, Conn./WTIC Radio - A woman is under arrest after state police say she caused a crash driving the wrong way early Wednesday morning on Route 8 in Shelton.

Andrea Lynn Marseglia, 39 is charged.

State police troopers say they received reports around 1: 30a.m. that Marseglia was headed south in the northbound lanes near exit 12 before hitting another vehicle head-on.

The driver and a juvenile passanger were taken to the hospital.

Marseglia, who failed a field sobriety test, faces charges of OUI, reckless endangerment, risk of injury, and driving the wrong way.
