Vernon, Conn./WTIC Radio - In Vernon, police have released the name of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle early this morning.
Just after 5:00 a.m., investigating officers say Trina Gould, 43, of Vernon was found lying in the southbound lanes of Talcottville Road, Route 83.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Gould remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
The driver was not injured.
