Strong winds whipping up a multi alarm fire at industrial complex in Somers.
Firefighters battling windy conditions Friday night in a fire at the Grower District Farm industrial complex.
The fire broke out shortly after 7:30 pm. WFSB channel 3 reporting there was a lack of water for firefighters as the fire
spread to a building. One fire fighter suffered minor injuries.
Officials say flowers and plants are grown at the site in order to supply major home retail stores
Fire investigators say there are chemicals at the site, however the Connecticut Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection has been monitoring air quality.
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
