(Meriden, Conn./WTIC) - A man is in the hospital with serious injuries following an overnight crash in Meriden.
It was around 2:00 a.m. when a Honda CRV driven by 24-year-old Vincenzo Constantino of Newington collided with a truck on Route 15 in Meriden at the 67 on ramp northbound.
State troopers say Contantino's vehicle struck the rear of a truck that was traveling in the center lane.
Constantino's vehicle then veered into the right shoulder, coming to rest partially in the righthand lane.
Constantino was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Mid State Medical Center, and later rushed to Hartford Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The crash had that portion of Route 15 closed for several hours.
