Connecticut Representative John Larson in election fight

There are five Congressional seats up for grabs in Connecticut in November. In Connecticut's 1st congressional district, democratic incumbent John Larson who has logged 28 years on Capitol Hill, may be running his last race. Former Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin's strong showing at the state convention in May earning him the backing of the democratic party in this Tuesday's primary which could likely spell the end for Larson's nearly three decade run in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The 78 year old says a win would mean a likely appointment as chairman of the Social Security subcommittee if the democrats take the House in November. Luke Bronin who is 47, saying its time for new energy in standing up to Trump and Maga.

Hartford school board member Ruth Fortune and State Representative Jillian Gilchrest are also running for the seat.
