Easter arriving early in Torrington at the Sullivan Senior Center where staff members of a local food bank delievered a giant Easter basket to residents and everyone made a grab for it.
It turns out the Friendly Hands Food Bank recently received 7 thousand pounds of candy which was reportedly a record setting donation of candy.
So they gave 3 thousand pounds of the candy to the Senior Center
The food bank created more than 300 Easter baskets for local children.
There was still plenty of candy left over to give away to other organizations as well.
