(Cromwell-AP) - The Travelers Championship will allow about 10,000 fans a day into this year's
tournament after being a TV-only event last year. Tournament director Nathan
Grube says they expect to ask fans to continue wearing masks on the golf course
and maintain a social distance from one another during the event scheduled for
June 24-27 at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut. But he says the protocols
could evolve as officials monitor vaccination and infection rates. The
tournament already has commitments from many of the world's top-ranked players
including defending champion Dustin Johnson.
