There's no jinxing Red Sox first baseman Bobby Dalbec from the announcer's booth.

For the second time this spring, the rookie slugger on Wednesday stepped up to the dish with the bases loaded and promptly ripped a grand slam -- only moments after it was presaged by WEEI's Rob Bradford.

The longtime baseball scribe saw the scenario developing, with Minnesota Twins pitcher Matt Shoemaker showing signs of fatigue before having to face Dalbec, who clubbed eight homers last season in a mere 92 plate appearances.

"I'm predicting he'll hit a grand slam here," Bradfo said. "You want to know why? Because Shoemaker is getting hit around here a little bit, and Bobby Dalbec's been hitting the ball. I like how it's trending."

Moments later, Dalbec connected for his second granny -- and amazingly his second slam predicted by Bradford in 2021.

While once could be luck, twice is too much to ignore.

Back on March 10, a similar situation played out when "Bradfodamus" called a Dalbec granny off Atlanta's Victor Arano moments before it actually transpired.

A first baseman by trade, Dalbec has also seen time at third base this spring, but his bat figures to play anywhere.

The 25-year-old was hitting a scorching .333/.419/.926 with five bombs -- including the two slams -- through his first 31 plate appearances in Grapefruit League action.
