The Jets will play on Sunday after all -- even without the benefit of a Friday practice.
Gang Green coaches, players and other team personnel were sent home from team facilities on Friday when the team reported a presumptive positive on a coronavirus test.
With several teams already affected by COVID-19 cases, the NFL community was bracing for the worst yet again.
But instead, additional testing apparently yielded negatives across the board, suggesting the presumptive positive case was a false.
The Jets said they were looking forward to the Sunday game against the Arizona Cardinals in a statement released on Friday evening.
Arizona is looking to end a two-game skid after upsetting the 49ers in Week 1 and taking care of business against Washington the following week. They since fell to Detroit and Carolina.
The Jets, without the services of injured starter Sam Darnold, will instead turn to 35-year-old veteran Joe Flacco at quarterback as they look to get in the win column for the first time this season.
Kickoff at MetLife Stadium was set for 1 p.m. ET
