When the NFL announced their 2024 Hall of Fame class on Thursday night, former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison wasn't one of them.

Harrison was named a finalist, making the final 15, but was passed up for Dwight Freeney, Devin Hester, Andre Johnson, Julius Peppers, Patrick Willis, Steve McMichael, and Randy Gradishar.

Harrison played in New England from 2003-2008, winning two Super Bowls with New England. He was named a First-team All-Pro safety in 2003 and a Second-team All-Pro in 2001. Through his 14-year NFL career, Harrison notched 1,206 tackles, 34 interceptions, 30.5 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, and four touchdowns. He was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2019.

2024 was Harrison's third time being nominated, and his first qualifying as a finalist.

The other finalists who didn't make the cut along with Harrison include Antonio Gates, Torry Holt, Reggie Wayne, Jared Allen, Fred Taylor, Darren Woodson, Jahri Evans, Eric Allen, and Willie Anderson.
