Even what could be a serious injury couldn't stop New Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston from celebrating after a victory over his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite being on crutches, Winston took part in the postgame celebration following a 36-27 win over the defending Super Bowl Champions:

Winston departed the Week 8 contest in the second quarter after seemingly suffering a left knee injury:

Ian Rapoport and Jane Slater of NFL Media reported after the game that Winston has "an apparent ACL injury, as well as potential damage to the MCL." Payton didn't get that specific, but acknowledged after the game that this appears to be a "significant" injury for the 27-year-old quarterback. Payton spoke highly of Winston's positivity, and acknowledged that he got choked up when he saw him after his injury:

Winston, the former No. 1 overall pick, beat out Taysom Hill for the starting job in the preseason. Prior to his injury, Winston had tossed 14 touchdowns to just three interceptions, a drastic improvement from when he led the NFL with 30 interceptions two seasons ago.
