After losing Will Grier to the Chargers on Monday, the Patriots have added another quarterback to their roster.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, New England claimed QB Nathan Rourke off waivers. Rourke was waived by the Jaguars on Saturday.

A native Canadien, Rourke spent 2021 and 2022 in the CFL with the BC Lions before signing with Jacksonville this past January. After an impressive preseason, the 25-year-old was waived at the end of August and re-signed to the Jaguars practice squad. He was signed totheir active roster on December 9th following an injury to Trevor Lawrence, but was waived shortly thereafter, last Saturday.

Currently sitting at 53 players, New England will have to make a subsequent roster move to complete this transaction.
