A preseason trade for the Giants: Big Blue is reportedly dealing guard Daniel Faalele to Jacksonville for a late-round 2027 Draft Pick.
Faalele, 26, was a fourth-round pick of the Ravens in 2022 and played in 66 games over four seasons, including starting all 17 games in both 2024 and 2025 for John Harbaugh in Baltimore.
He followed Harbaugh to New York this offseason, signing a one-year deal in April, but had been taking second-team snaps in camp as Big Blue transitioned first-round pick Francis Mauigoa to the guard spot – teaming him with Jon Runyan on the first unit and leaving Faalele battling several others, including former right tackle Evan Neal, for reserve line spots.
Now, however, the 380-pounder is headed to the Jags, who have seen several linemen miss time this camp due to injuries, and are without the entire right side of their line – right tackle Cole Van Lanen is still on PUP with a knee issue, and right guard Patrick Mekari could start the season on injured reserve as he works back from back surgery.
