It didn’t take Logan Ryan long to find a new home.

Ryan, released by the Giants on Thursday, has agreed to a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a move he foreshadowed on Twitter shortly before it was announced:
Ryan, 31, was cut Thursday just one year into his three-year, $31 million deal with the Giants, saving the team just under $800K in cap space. A defensive captain last season, Ryan had 117 tackles (including two for loss) and one sack, his 77 solo tackles tops on the team and overall total second behind Tae Crowder’s 130.
The nine-year vet out of Rutgers played 31 games over two seasons with the Giants but now rejoins several former Patriots teammates – notably, Tom Brady and likely Gronk – in Tampa Bay, bolstering a young secondary that includes Sean Murphy-Bunting and the recently re-upped Carlton Davis outside and Pro Bowler Antoine Winfield Jr. at free safety.
