Sean Payton ripped Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett in an interview with USA Today, and BT is ready for Gang Green to exact proper revenge.

“It doesn't happen often where an NFL team or organization gets embarrassed,” Payton said, referencing the Broncos’ disappointing season with Hackett as head coach last season. “And that happened here. Part of it was their own fault, relative to spending so much…time trying to win the offseason. The PR, the pomp and circumstance, marching people around and all this stuff. We're not doing any of that.

“The Jets did that this year. You watch. 'Hard Knocks,' all of it. I can see it coming. Remember when Dan Snyder put that Dream Team together? I was at the Giants [in 2000]. I was a young coach. I thought, ‘How are we going to compete with them? Deion [Sanders] is there now.’ That team won eight games or whatever.”

As for Hackett himself, Payton said, “It might have been one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL.”

Safe to say, BT wasn’t a fan of Payton ripping his Jets and their new offensive coordinator.

“Sean Payton, to me, is awesome…he joined me and Tiki at least 11 times while we were doing the show together. I love Sean Payton,” BT said. “Now, he’s dead to me.

“[The Jets have] one of the most organic rosters in football…The Broncos did it with Peyton Manning and it worked out, you clown.”

Now, BT has Oct. 8 circled on the calendar, when Payton’s Broncos welcome Hackett and the Jets to Denver.

“In one interview, he manages to completely marginalize the Jets roster and their vision and direction, and in the next sentence, he destroys the offensive coordinator who helped one of the best quarterbacks of all time win multiple MVPs,” BT said.

“October 8: Jets 37, Broncos 13, and we shove it down Payton’s throat.”
