C-Mac rips 'Mr. Dropped Pass' Allen Lazard for criticizing Jets being 'out-schemed'

Allen Lazard told reporters on Sunday, via Connor Hughes of SNY, that the Jets were “out-schemed and out-efforted” in their 30-0 loss to the Dolphins.

C-Mac found that to be laughable, given who was delivering that quote.

“Of all people, Allen Lazard is gonna tell you they’re out-schemed,” C-Mac said. “Mr. Dropped Pass himself.”

Lazard, brought in along with former Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers over the offseason, has just 23 receptions for 311 yards this year, part of a wide receiver core that has been a dud outside of Garrett Wilson. Given those circumstances, C-Mac says Lazard is in no position to criticize the team’s scheme.

“You can’t scheme him open enough,” C-Mac said. “It’s impossible. He drops everything. He’s had a miserable year, yet he’s telling us they didn’t give effort and was out-schemed.”
