Gio 'hates' decision to start Joe Flacco, but now expects him to thrive due to reverse curse

Gio spent Monday and Tuesday clamoring for the Jets to make a quarterback change, so when reports leaked that Joe Flacco would again be under center in Week 2, Gio was unsurprisingly uninspired.

“I just don’t understand,” Gio said. “It doesn’t make any sense to me at this point. I hate it. I don’t want to see it again. Jets fans don’t want to see it again. It is in no way some sort of panic move putting Mike White in there.

“Joe Flacco, to me, can’t move. Can’t play anymore. And you’ve got nothing to lose playing a guy who beat the AFC champions last year.”

But Gio also notes that anyone he bases tends to thrive, and anyone he praises tends to immediately crash and burn. So, Gio is now expecting a monster day on Sunday for Flacco against Myles Garrett and the Browns.

“Here’s the good thing for Joe Flacco. I roasted the Giants on Friday, said how bad they were, they won,” Gio said. “I got Joe Flacco on a spit right now, he’s gonna throw four touchdown passes on Sunday. You watch. I’ve got that power, ladies and gentlemen.

“If I day you stink, you go out the next day and you’re great. If I say you’re great, you go out the next day and you stink.”
