Isiah Kiner-Falefa hysterically seeks out umpire for sticky substance check after scoreless inning

Isiah Kiner-Falefa, seemingly on a mission to play every position on the diamond during his MLB career, was called on to pitch the ninth inning of Tuesday night’s blowout loss to the Twins, with the Yankees trying to salvage their bullpen for the rest of the four-game series.

Kiner-Falefa, boasting a “fastball” velocity in the mid-60s, tossed a scoreless frame and pitched around one hit to boast a career ERA of 0.00.

After he recorded the final out, Kiner-Falefa made his way back to the Yankee dugout, but not before sticking his hands out and turning towards the umpiring crew, eagerly awaiting to be checked for banned substances.

Shockingly, the umpires didn’t issue a search, as Kiner-Falefa laughed and kept moving into the dugout.

Clearly, those umpires didn’t get word of the RPM on Kiner-Falefa’s pitches during that dominant inning of work.
