2 Killed After SUV Slams Into Tree, Bursts Into Flames

DETROIT (WWJ) - Two people are dead after their SUV slammed into a tree on Detroit's west side and burst into flames.

The crash happened just after midnight Tuesday on Wyoming south of 8 Mile Road.

Witnesses say the driver of an Audi SUV lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. The vehicle then caught fire, killing the two people inside.

The male and female victims have not yet been identified.

The crash remains under investigation.

Wyoming was closed for about five hours after the crash but has since reopened to traffic.
